Open. Choose a beat. Analyze.

  1. Move PICH Lab.app into your Applications folder, then open it.
  2. Press Import, choose a beat, then press Analyze. The first minute is selected by default; use Advanced to choose a different section.
  3. Check the key and tempo. To transfer the key, check Console or Your DAW beneath the readout, then find and select your Auto-Tune instance.

No separate Python install, Terminal command, Codex account, or DAW setup is needed for key finding. Leave the launcher open while using PICH Lab; quitting it stops the local connection. Audio is analyzed on this Mac.

Open a key from the website

Open a downloaded .pichkey file with PICH Lab, or use Open key file from website in the companion. Review the imported scale, choose Console or Your DAW, Find your instance, then Send. No audio is included and no settings are sent automatically.

Optional: send to one Auto-Tune

You can use the key finder immediately and connect a DAW later. After analysis, check Your DAW, choose your DAW, and press Find to start its connection. Start with Connection setup. It installs the FL Studio, Ableton and REAPER files for you, then shows only your host’s steps. Logic and Pro Tools customer installation remain unavailable in this preview. Detailed guides:
